Höganäs AB is the world’s leading producer of iron and metal powders. We offer powders of highest quality and consistency for demanding applications, as well as leading expertise in the application of the powder in order to utilize its features the best possible way. Our expertise also covers powder components and the manufacturing processes required to obtain optimum performance. By turning to Höganäs, you can make sure that your production processes become as straightforward as possible.

000919Customized mixes

Our customized mixes offer you ready-to-use solutions for pressing, in turn reducing your costs for storage and mixing. The mixes are made in equipment that secure high consistency of powder properties, enabling you to reduce scrap costs.

With our metal powders and unique additives, we tailor mixes that suits your needs in terms of productivity, mechanical performance and quality. Regardless of your needs, we provide you with the proper mixing solution.

Alloy Powders

We develop and market special alloy powders that provide the basis for high-performing components. The materials can be combined in different ways in order to meet the specific application’s requirements of mechanical properties, tolerances and other important features. The materials range from very lean alloys to high alloys.

PoP Centre – driving market developments

000913With the aim of being the driving force behind industry growth, Höganäs opened the services of its Power of Powder (PoP) Centre in October 2009. With this initiative, we offer customers and end-users the opportunity to form a close partnership with Höganäs to identify and develop new application areas for powder technology.

At the PoP Centre, we have gathered all our competence to support our customers with material selection, design, and process optimization. To provide maximum support, we have a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment at our disposal. To name a few: our 800 ton Dorst CNC press 000914enables compaction of green and/or sintered blanks; in-house CAD and FEA capabilities assist the optimization of component design and rapid prototyping; our CNC turning lathe and 5-axis CNC machining centre perform a number of procedures for testing of mechanical properties.

The services provided by the PoP Centre ranges from straightforward prototyping or mechanical testing, to complete application development. Turning to the PoP Centre can help you minimize the risks and costs typically involved in the prototyping process, as well as shortening lead time. Further, whenever you have insufficient compaction capacity, turning to the PoP Centre for additional capacity can solve your bottleneck problems.
