Applications are now open for the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA)’s 20th residential PM Summer School, which will take place at the University of Castilla la Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain, on July 20–24, 2020. The Summer School is open to young scientists, designers and engineers looking to gain a broader knowledge and understanding of the Powder Metallurgy process and applications.

The five-day residential course features a range of lectures given by PM experts drawn from both industry and academia. Topics to be covered will include the manufacture of metal powders, powder compaction, MIM, modelling, sintering, Hot Isostatic Pressing and Additive Manufacturing. Participants will be able to discuss and solve problems as well as get hands-on experience of various PM processes.

The course fee includes all relevant course documents, five nights hotel accommodation, refreshments, a welcome reception on the Monday and the Summer School networking dinner on Thursday evening. The fee also includes eighteen months of Student Membership to the EPMA.

Applications for the PM Summer School 2020 should be submitted by May 20, 2020. Further information on the full programme and application details is available from Sabine Hazoumé ([email protected]), the EPMA’s Event & Project Co-ordinator.
