Amsted Automotive names Bill Kerfin president

Amsted Automotive has announced that Bill Kerfin has been appointed its new president, effective immediately, taking over the role from Jeremy Holt who served as president for seven years.

Kerfin previously acted as the company’s Executive Vice President from October, 2023. Before his position at Amstead Automotive, Kerfin served as Chief Financial Officer of Amstead Rail and Vice President – Finance at Amstead Griffin Pipe. Prior to his work with the Amstead Group, Kerfuin held leadership roles at Premier Forge Group Holdings and US Pipe.

Kerfin holds a BS in Accountancy from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance and Economics. He is also a veteran of the US Marine Corps Reserves where he achieved the rank of sergeant and specialised in nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare training.

In 2021, Amsted Automotive combined Means Industries Inc., Transform Automotive, SMW Manufacturing, and Burgess-Norton Mfg. Co., Inc. to form a new technology team. The integration provides an expanded global presence with twenty-one facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia to serve the global automotive, off-highway and mining industries with a wide manufacturing footprint, producing over 100 million components and assemblies annually, including Powder Metallurgy parts.

Amsted Automotive combines experience in design and engineering to offer precision products and efficiency solutions for electrified, hybrid and ICE propulsion systems.
