ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH announces new CEO

AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. (AMG) has appointed Dr Markus Holz as President of AMG’s Engineering Systems Division and CEO of the group’s ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH, replacing Dr. Reinhard Walter.

ALD Vacuum Technologies based in Hanau, Germany, is a subsidiary of AMG and one of the leading suppliers of vacuum furnaces, operating in all fields of vacuum metallurgy and vacuum heat treatment.
Prior to joining AMG in 2011, Holz held various leadership positions including CEO of ThyssenKrupp Titanium Group, Essen, Germany and Managing Director of Hempel Special Metals GmbH, Oberhausen, Germany.
Holz will be focusing on leading the Engineering Systems Division’s growth initiatives and efficiency enhancement efforts. He will be supported by a newly formed ALD Supervisory Board, chaired by AMG’s CEO.
