Aerospace materials conference and exposition AeroMat, organised by ASM International and scheduled to take place March 15–17 2022 in Pasadena, California, USA, will this year focus on next-generation materials. Under the theme ‘Research and Development Enabling Next-Generation Aerospace Materials’, AeroMat will bring together professionals and companies to display and discuss the latest advances in both materials and processes, such as the increased use cases of Additive Manufacturing.

Starting this year, AeroMat will co-locate with the SAE International Aerotech conference. Attendees will therefore benefit from an expanded technical programme, with access to over 200 presentations and a leading exhibition. The technical programme will focus on innovative aerospace materials and process developments, along with implementation of those technologies in new and legacy platforms to cost effectively improve performance of aerospace structures and engines. Topics covered under the remit of AM will include Cold Spray and wire-based AM and the manufacture of titanium, aluminium and nickel alloys.

Keynote sessions on the show floor will complement the technical programming and are intended to provide attendees with a comprehensive view of the industry. Returning this year is the interactive forum. An expert panel forum will also address sustainability as an imperative in the aerospace industry and the growing recognition of aviation’s role in the realm of climate change.

“I’m really looking forward to getting together in Pasadena with leaders in aerospace materials at AeroMat, to reconnect and hear about the latest advances in our field, as well as take advantage of the great opportunities to expand the breadth & depth of the conference experience through the new co-location with AeroTech,” stated Eli Ross, AeroMat conference chair.
